iPET Network Level 3 Award in Canine First Aid

Duration

1 Day

Time

6 Hours

Gain essential first‑aid skills to handle emergencies like injuries, choking, poisoning, allergic reactions, CPR and more. Perfect for groomers, pet owners, and animal‑care professionals wanting confidence and skills to act when it matters.

iPET Network Level 3 Award in Canine First Aid

This one‑day course gives you everything you need to respond confidently to canine emergencies. You’ll learn how to: recognise signs of distress, perform a primary survey (DR ABC), check vital signs (pulse, temperature, respiration), dress wounds and manage injuries; respond to choking, poisoning, allergic reactions, stings, seizures, hypothermia, heat‑stroke and more; perform CPR on dogs; apply bandages correctly; and understand what to keep in a canine first‑aid kit.

The course combines theory and practical sessions — so you’ll practise real‑life scenarios under expert guidance. On completion you’ll receive a nationally recognised iPET first‑aid certificate, giving you extra credibility as a groomer or pet professional.

"I recently completed my dog grooming training at Groomers on the Green Academy, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Jess, our trainer, is nothing short of amazing—her knowledge, patience, and passion for grooming and dogs truly shine through in everything she does.

From day one, Jess created a supportive and welcoming environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and learning at my own pace. Her teaching style is hands-on and clear, with a perfect balance of practical training and theory. She took the time to explain each technique thoroughly and gave honest, constructive feedback that helped me grow more confident with every groom.

What stood out most was how much Jess genuinely cares, not just about the dogs, but about each student’s success. She goes above and beyond to make sure you’re fully prepared for real-world grooming, and she shares so many helpful tips that only come from years of experience in the industry.

Thanks to Jess and the amazing team at Groomers on the Green, I now feel fully equipped and excited to start my journey as a professional dog groomer. If you’re considering a grooming course, I wholeheartedly recommend training here, you’ll be in the best hands!"
