While there are no legal requirements, most employers and clients prefer groomers who are certified. Our iPET Network Level 3 Diploma is a nationally recognised qualification that sets you apart and ensures you’re ready to work professionally.
Absolutely! Many of our students go on to launch their own home-based salons. Our course includes business management and customer care units to give you the confidence and knowledge to start your own venture.
Yes – with over 13 million dogs in the UK and growing, there’s a consistent need for skilled, qualified groomers. Many salons are fully booked, and pet owners are increasingly seeking professionals with recognised training like the iPET Level 3 Diploma we offer.
Our main diploma course takes place over 30 days (403 hours) and includes both theory and hands-on practical experience with real dogs in a salon setting.
Yes – there are no prerequisites. If you can demonstrate the ability to work at Level 3 during your enrolment interview, you can begin straight away. No prior grooming experience required!
You’ll groom at least 20 dogs of various breeds and coat types, gain first aid certification, and complete units covering health, safety, business setup, and breed-standard styling. You’ll leave with real confidence and a recognised diploma.
Our Taster Day is perfect if you’re curious about a grooming career but not ready to commit. You’ll spend a day in our Academy observing grooming, asking questions, and getting a feel for the industry.
At the moment, we offer full payment only via Stripe before registration. This helps us keep admin simple and your enrolment smooth.
Please bring a laptop for theory sessions, along with a pen and notebook for your own notes. We recommend comfortable, closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting covered in fur. We’ll supply professional aprons/overalls for practical work. If you’d like your own tools from day one, a Starter Kit is available to purchase through the Academy – just let us know when you enrol.
Many graduates go on to work in grooming salons, start their own businesses, or even specialise in show dogs. The iPET qualification is widely respected and opens up a range of professional paths.
Yes – our diploma includes a full business planning unit. You'll learn the essentials of starting and managing your own salon, including pricing, marketing, and customer service.
